Remember: Synonyms have the same definition,

Antonyms are opposites.

Use the story and links below to complete your mission and practice your skills:

You're putting the finishing touches on a brand new thesaurus you have written. Each page is in perfect order, each synonym (same definition) is matched with another synonym, and each antonym (opposite definition) is matched with another antonym. Synonyms are marked with an "S" while antonyms are marked with an "A." All is well until . . .

A huge gust of wind blows in from the window. All of your "S" and "A" labels are scattered  across the room. Now you do not know whether the pairs of words that remain are synonyms or antonyms!

You will have to go to the library to solve this mystery! There is a sheet that has a list of the mixed-up words. You must put an "S" next to the synonyms and an "A" next to the antonyms. But first, you have to find the sheet! Look for it under the red, white, and blue. When you find it, use the online thesaurus to find the answers and solve the mystery.
